20″ by 20″ oil on canvas. Liberty was my second ever piece and an experiment in limiting my colour palette. It speaks of that moment when we discover that we are no longer bound by what used to hold us back. The grey/green shade is an organic pigment which will lighten up as it ages, hopefully adding a softening vibe to this work.
